Meet Marta Fantin, Music Lead – Italy

Words by DICE

Launching in a new territory can be challenging, but with Marta on the ground in Italy, it was a breeze. With a love of music spanning from U2 in the ’90s (way before the infamous Apple team-up) to Marie Davidson & L’Œil Nu today, Marta’s taste is eclectic and unparalleled – which is why she’s paving the way for DICE’s success in Italy

What did you do before DICE?

Before I joined DICE, I was working for an Italy-based ticketing company as key account manager.

What’s the best thing about working here?

The people, definitely. Every day I learn something new and enjoy the opportunity to work with incredibly talented people who are a constant source of inspiration.

What project are you most proud of?

In Italy, we started from scratch and that’s the thing that excites me most. It’s so great to spread the word of DICE among promoters, venues and fans, while seeing the app grow in content every day.

What was your first gig, last gig and favourite gig?

My first concert was U2 in Reggio Emilia, back in 1997. A dear friend of my mother brought me there. My last concert was Marie Davidson & L’Œil Nu in Berlin a few days ago.

It is hard to pick my favourite gig. I have so many, yet I would certainly include: Beach House at Pappy and Harriet’s; my first SXSW in 2009; and The XX performing their first album at Covo Club, an Italian grassroots venue with a 200-person capacity. Here’s some very nostalgic footage of the gig.
